Run

I recommend this book. Can't even think how to begin explaining it. I'd had it on my shelf for several years and the opening page just hadn't clicked. But last week it did. Nice prelude to SOTUS and harmonious/attention getting accompaniment to current racial and socioeconomic issues in the US. Set in Boston. The good news is that "family values" (of a deep and soulful variety) prevail at the end.
There's a review (and some spoilers) here.
