My "home town" is at risk. I'm glad I'm 1500 miles away but remember the smell and taste of late summer wildfires. It worries me that I recognize the names of the streets they are evacuating.
Something has shifted this week. I just feel so sad in relation to so many news stories. Don't know if my frozen heart is melting, or whether my warm heart is breaking down.
