"Station" Fire near La Cañada Flintridge and Altadena, as seen from Pasadena's Playhouse district,

My "home town" is at risk. I'm glad I'm 1500 miles away but remember the smell and taste of late summer wildfires. It worries me that I recognize the names of the streets they are evacuating.

Something has shifted this week. I just feel so sad in relation to so many news stories. Don't know if my frozen heart is melting, or whether my warm heart is breaking down.
