WORKS IN PROGRESS
Friday I took 4 paintings to a frame shop for display. I realized that if I'm going to try to sell paintings, I better get cracking and PAINT MORE. I was at a loss because I had too many ideas and too many empty canvases to get started. (Ironic, isn't it?! -- My knitting stash and pattern collection can do that to me, as well.
So I decided to do certain content on certain sizes... and that was the only guideline I needed.
On the 4 x 6 panels: Sheep!
On the 8 x 10 wrapped canvases: Heavy Equipment paintings based on the photographs I took last month. By the time they're done, they'll be pretty abstract (I hope) and only "almost" recognizeable.
The machine above is a "Lay-More." I assume it smooths or extrudes paving. Good title, though.
The name of this one is "Sweepmaster."
I hope I can paint more tomorrow. These will be drier and less likely to smudge. But the weather and yard may be "too wet" to work in the yard. Boo-yah!

You know, sometime within the last 6 or 8 weeks, your painting has turned a corner. It is more alive.

Oooooh, I'm loving the heavy equipment paintings. I already have a sheep print of yours...might a heavy equipment painting be far behind? Keep working! :)
