Honeycrisp and pear

This almost looks the way I want it to. Had a great time doing it. Even with the shadows, the apple and pear look to me like they are hovering over the surface. And the background seems boring.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving the kind words. This is a very nice piece. The texture and variations of values and color are wonderful in the fruit. I often have problems with shadows and backgrounds of still life pieces. A great place to look, is Carol Marine's blog, she is a master at this. I am learning by observing at how she handles these issues. ~Heidi
