Death comes to the Companula
Untill most of the tree debris was removed, I didn't realize that my Canterbury Bells (Companula) had bloomed while we were in Indiana, Two brave stalks with broken necks. Poor dears.

And the crepe myrtle, new last year, is definitely listing to one side, but look how the falling branches gave it "skinned knees." I don't know whether we are supposed to get bandages, gauze or duct tape. Poor dears.

I'll probably have to start drawing the drapes!

It was shady enough for Hostas and Dianthus. Neither have emerged yet this year, but they are going to FRY.

And below is how wonderfully shady it was.

And this was my celebratory photograph of the pear when she bloomed only a few weeks ago.
RIP
