I got thinking about all the things that people can lose-- whether they ever get found or not. Keys, pets, time, virtue. I'm sure I could have thought of more. The main think I gained from this was a HUGE appreciation for illustrators like Richard Scaary or the Where's Waldo guy. I certainly lost touch with "art" concepts such as focal point, composition, or even interesting shapes.
Comments welcome, just the same.

The top one looks to me like an illustration for Libra - (and just because I happen to be Libran doesn't mean I have to blame my indecisiveness on the stars!) - I like its colours and the balance in it.
I often feel like the top one. So many roads to chose, but I'm at a standstill.... unsure which way to turn.
Great job on both of them!
I loved Where's Waldo?!!!! I like both illos...the top one is obviously more symbolic, but the bottom one is great because it's like an inventory. Good job!

Keys, and even pets can be replaced... I want my time and virtue back... I will pay any shipping charges!

The top one looks like it would be a great story inspiration...
I love the hills there too.
I can relate to the top illo. I need to find more time definitely. Great ideas.
I love Richard Scarry. I really like your illustration. It's funny, that is exactly what I was going to draw for the "lost" topic. I imagined a girl at a fork in the road also. I never got around to doing it but at least I can enjoy yours!
