Every Day Matters
(especially when you look closely.)
Well at least I did a bit of drawing toward the end of the week.
In spite of the gasoline prices, I idled in the parking lot of Central Market (it WAS 98 with no place to sit except curbs with NO sight lines... suffering for my art? ... well, let's just say I'm avoiding suffering as much as possible).
They were tremendously satisfying though.
Is that how everybody feels that does draw?
Delighted in the process?

I don't think anybody's going to get bumped from their rendering/drafting table any time soon, though.

These guys are partitial blind countour, partial copy from a photograph in this week's New Yorker magazine. The photograph was to be part of an exhibition in that fair city. Can you imagine what you could have seen/sketched had you had a bench of your own at Ellis Island?

You're developing a real style of your own there.

are there really giant veggies out front?

Yes, there really are giant fruits and veggies in the front of the store. Each is about 3 feet high, made of concrete and painted stark colors.
