What I learned from doing mostly nothing but playing solitaire today.

You can always deal again.
You win more than you think you will.
If you remember what you did previously, you win more.
It's better than being completely bored.
If you want to play a different game, switch.
Don't give up until you're sure you made all the plays you can.
If you look carefully, you win more.
It's more fun when you don't take it too seriously.
There. I feel better.
Today was a weak, lame, not-very-good-feeling day.
DH made me chicken soup and brought tasty treats when he came home from work... but
I wish I had had the oomph to draw or clean, or read or even knit. But I didn't. so I gleaned just a little bit about the game of live and living from playing solitaire. It was all the energy I had. Maybe tomorrow I can do a few rounds on the exercise bike and strengthen my thighs instead of my thalmus... (?)
I hope the people drying and digging out from Katrina have the stamina THEY need.

Thanks for reminding me! I really needed to be reminded of this one today :)
Some days are diamonds and some are stones, but even the stones have their own special beauty. Thanks for making that more clear for me. (I am a solitaire addict. If I don't get one game in a day I get twitchy.)
I have King Sol on my Ipaq which allows me to waste time to the tune of a few hundred variations of solitaire. I remember my late grandfather playing klondike alone on his bed all the time
