I am sure that Ms. Stewart knows the "right way" to get a duvet into a duvet cover. Unfortunately, I don't. It turned out to be aerobic exercise. You'd have thought I was wrestling with a writhing waffle to see me get the duvet into the cover. I was out of breath and sweating by the time I got everything into submission.
The photo above is the seductive one from the catalog. I can't say that I bought the whole "ensemble"... (since I wanted to eat)... but we did get the cover and the two big shams. I'll wait until next month and go to Target or Bed, Bath and Beyond to get some colored sheets... maybe some purple/dark blue throw pillows. The bed and bedroom definitely have a bit more panache than previously.
Added bonus: the cover of the catalog had a Santa that looks just like dear hubby...
So today has been a wonderful day so far.
Breakfast/Brunch at our favorite diner.
Spotted some sort of "bird of prey" in the diner parking lot... parhaps the unseasonable rain flushed out mice or something? We'd never seen a hawk "out loose" so close.
Bedding arrival!
Time for a cold drink then one office appointment.
While darling husband was out buying lightbulbs, he also picked up a Photoshop Paint Brushes accessory with 2310 (!!!!) brush styles on a CD that I can play with later.

Home Goods! Marshalls! Try those for really affordable bedding...and I don't think there is an easy way to wrassle a duvet. At least not that I know of!
I'm with knit wit on this one. That's how we do it too. The best way to start is with the duvet laid out on your bed...and slide the cover up as Knit wit describes. ;)
