Can you lift 30 pounds?

How many times?

We went to PetSmart this evening to get a bed for our cat. (She is leaving cat hair inside DH's suitcase, on the couch, pretty much everywhere... and we're hoping we can contain the hair to something washable.

While we were there, be picked up a new box of catlitter. Hubby and I were moaning and groaning about how heavy it was. We read the label. 30 pounds.
And my mouth flew open and said, "Just imagine if we each lost 30 pounds?! How much easier would our lives be."
H.E.L.L.O. I can easily afford to lose three times a box of catlitter. AEIIIIII.

I will take up aerobic knitting. Won't drink milkshakes to cure my chemo tummy, but will sip Aloe juice.... and maybe, just maybe, I can enjoy moving around burden free.

Your comment reminded me of this:

Finally, an exercise you can stick with!

I just came across this exercise suggested for seniors, to build muscle strength in the arms and shoulders. It is also recommended for osteoporosis. It seems so easy, so I thought I'd pass it on to some of my friends.

The article suggested doing it three days a week. Just don't overdo it.

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side. With a 5-LB. potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides, and hold them there as long as you can.

Try to reach a full minute, then relax.

Each day, you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit
longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-LB. potato sacks.

Then 50-LB. potato sacks, and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-LB. potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute.

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks.

Hi, Aloe helps my husbands digestive tract and seems to promote healing all around. It may be enough for the chemo tummy, but you might wanna keep a milkshake in the freezer just in case. I'm just say'n.

Are you taking steroids? They make you feel better but will make you gain weight on air.

Good luck and good exercise.
