The weather today has been the ultimate in spring. Cool, breezy and sunny. DH and I walked when we got up... not too far, but enough than I can feel it, and enough that he took a long afternoon nap. I trimmed a carnivorous climbing rose that ate our kitchen window screen. We never open that window anyway, but now I am on to it's evil ways.
I've done a few loads of laundry, read a bit, put some things away, and the tough part is that all I can see is how much MORE there is to do. I am discouraged. AND I know that I actually did more work than "usual."
Do you suppose my mood, lethargy and feeling that I could have done more has anything to do with having stayed up until almost 5 am. Yeah. Probably!
But one thing I did was start trying to "paint" in photoshop. Above is an experiment based on the ranunulus and dianthus in the back yard. It would make a possible (complex) fair isle palette, don't you think? Just what I need... another creative outlet with no plan, no lessons and no organization. Next I need to save the "from scratch" photoshop picture into a format "Hello/Picasa" will recognize. Hmmm.
Thomas Moore says that when one is having a Dark Night of the Soul, purging the unnecessary and establishing ritual and discipline is a good idea.

The Angel of Persistence watched over me. Maybe she was dozing with Hubby.
I'm off to feather and fan with the intention of purging negativity.
