Son, daughter-in-law and grandbaby endured their difficult week of transition: from stay at home mom and dad with lots of school-related days off, to JANUARY. That cold, cruel month without mercy, days off or much daylight. For that I was glad and had NO envy.
And then... one of the other grandparents got the honor to babysit so "mom and dad" could go to dinner and a movie. THAT I envied!! Not an attractive emotion to exhibit. And only possibly balanced out with honesty.
I look forward to my own hours of babysitting and hopes that I have the vim and vigor to do so.
