I did a piece a long time ago ("Visitors") that seemed to illustrate how it feels to be welcomed, so I wanted to do something different.
I found this quote attributed to Cleopatra (of all people) and thought that it was relevant to the fear mongering doom and gloom emphasis that is so prevalent.
I wish we could all embrace comfort... not in the sense of facile laziness or shoddiness... but the antithesis of our collective addiction to thrill seeking or strange and terrible events.

Strange quote...was she being ironic? Very stylish rendition, and I agree with your sentiments on fear-mongering and thrill-seeking, but I assume these are just basic personality differences!
an artist AND a knitter! now that's my kind of gal! great work
Nice to know I'm not the only artist out there not in love with Moleskine. I think the price is the real sticking point for me. I'm willing to pay a lot if it's fabulous, but I don't really find it fabulous. Anyhow, nice to hear I'm not the only one.
This is really cool -- is it all digital? I love, love the colors in the upper right.
