A couple of items

Amazingly, to me at least, I've joined a gym and gotten serious about using the Weight Watchers tools on line. According to the "initial visit" questionnaire, I am half fat. Literally. Cripes. You can calculate yours here.

But I am hopeful. Finally. I am even re-reading my iPod Nano manual to see about uploading podcasts and music. If you have anything inspiring, interesting or with a good tempo, feel free to make suggestions. At present, I'm thinking Fresh Air, Blood Sweat and Tears with some choruses of "I am Woman." DD is goikng to send a mix that she says will make me feel like Rocky Balboa on the Philadelphia library steps.

Remains to be seen.

Today I did cardio, a wee bit longer than each of the days last week... I'm working up to 30 minutes... and when that is "too easy" I'll start adding resistance. For now, the resistence is all monkey mind.

And this is an exercise of a totally different sort. I used molding paste to texture a couple of canvases... and then gessoed over the whole mess last night. I think I should probably read about gesso. It sure seems thick right out of the container. Maybe it ought to be thinned...
The pattern of lumps and bumps hasn't proven to be particularly inspiring. Yet.
And I really am knitting a ittle bit. I'm going to get going on my version of Lucy Neatby's mermaid socks, as a matter of fact and sit infront of MORE Olympics. I'm hoping for Table Tennis.

You need not feel alone in your quest to improve physically. I've recently rejoined my Y (for the dozenth time?) and still have a difficult time just getting myself over there -- and it's almost within walking distance! Still, it feels wonderful to be gradually getting some stamina back. And the Weight Watcher things are in my drawer from a few years ago. I like to try keeping up with points, but it takes real determination to just make the time to write things down. So for what it's worth, I'm with you in spirit!

Love what you're doing with the texture. Gesso is pretty thick, at least some brands. You could certainly thin it all you want. I have a tub of it that's getting old and gooey. So I use that for even more texture.
