Thanks, all. This is 100% digital.. done in layers... one layer of yellowish splotches, one a big greener, one brownish inbetween and each with the "color" feature turned on so that the shades were automatically varied. Then after I flattened the background I used a "faux finish" comb. I love the freedom to experiment on the IF pieces!

This is nice. I really like the combed (?) looking background behind the red dot. Can you tell me more about this piece?
