In advance of Mother's Day

The Story of the Weeping Camel (2004, National Geographic) is not your ordinary movie. My husband was surprised to find that even he liked it (he was feeling companionable, and there was no hockey on and no SF!!)

A Mongolian family, raising sheep and camels, living in elegant tents deems it essential to repair what a psychologist would call "an attachment disorder" between a baby camel and it's inept, first-time mother.

My wish is that on Mother's Day, ALL mother-child bonds are taken as seriously and supported by the communities in which they exist.

What a beautiful sentiment! Happy Early Mother's Day to you, my friend.
