Curves and Bulges

Today was my "first month" weigh in and measure at Curves. I knew it wasn't going to be good. Between the aches and pains I'd done rather a lot of carb comforting, and not so much exertion during the weight work outs. I do feel stronger and more limber though.
Net result: 3.5# gain
4.5 inches gained --
(even with minor losses to the hips and waist.)

Oddly enough I am not terribly discouraged or freaked out. Well, a little.

But I think I might actually be "getting it."
This is a life style change.
Exercise - Eat healthy - Rinse and Repeat.

I hope that with the return of muscle mass, and less sugar consumption, I'll gain on the fat, rather than the fat gaining on me.

I met a firm, fit woman today who had been coming for 3 years. If I can be proportioned like her in 3 years, I'll be happy. And SHE didn't turn radish red after her 30 minutes, either.

I'm thin and mostly in shape, but I turn bright red really quickly when I get too warm or am working out. My mom and grandpa do too, so I'm blaming them for it.
