Is this what you wanted from the 2000 and / or 2004 election?

Can you identify the man to whom these following statements refer?
  • "More grandiose than Nixon" . . .Arthur Schlesinger, Jr.
  • "Cheney's hit man"
  • Attempted to "overturn two centuries of jurisprudence defining the limits of the executive branch. they've made war a matter of dictatorial power." . . .Arthur Schlesinger, Jr.
  • Cheney's Cheney
  • "Like the Marines. No better friend-- no worse enemy." . . .Jane Mayer
  • "Utterly ruthless" . . . Lawrence Wilkerson
  • "Doesn't see why you have to compromise." . . .anonymous former colleague
  • "The idea of reducing Congress to a cipher was already in play. It was Cheney and XXX's political Agenda." . . .Bruce Fein

He doesn't serve the president directly. He has never run for elected office. He's been a government lawyer his whole career, yet never worked in the Justice Department. He is a hawk on defense, but never served in the military.

I don't think he's stupid.
I do think he's scary.

Read the article from the July 3 issue of New Yorker Magazine on line.
I also saved a copy here.

I don't know whether to thank you for this information or start packing and move to Canada.
