DD sent me a swatch, a lovely essay about watching bocce players and knitting in the sun, and this:
On the back, the title of the illustration is "Nemo with Princess in balloon."
If you recognize the story or the artist, I'd love to know. It is quite turn of the century (possibly beyond copyright by now!)... Not quite Kindsley or Rackham... but on that order.
Oh, and hang in there for at least one, maybe two IF offerings on the topic of DANCING.

Lovely -- the artist is Winsor McKay, one of my faves. A master draughstman, and one of the very first (possibly the first) animation artists.
