Brief thoughts
1. I heard that yesterday would have been Gilda Radner's 60th birthday had she lived. If you don't know who she is, find out. She loved to laugh so far as I can tell, and helped the whole country lighten up. She certainly brought brightness to some otherwise dark years in my life. If possible, do something to help a local cancer-treatment center and others whose lives will be ended prematurely.

2. I am sad that so many medical treatments are mere life-extensions rather than cures. I don't really want anyone to be immortal... that's not what I mean. But the ravages of disease can be heartless.

3. My kids make me proud. I am grateful that they had such good filters on what I tried to teach them and the example(s) I set. Keep what works and skip the rest!

4. I love my work. Coaching the downtrodden, depressed, daunted and discouraged to make the most of themselves and have a good time while doing. Oh, and coaching the successful high-flyers who are nevertheless somehow empty or "stuck" so they find meaning and satisfaction according to their own standards.

Am so glad you love your work -- and it sounds like soul-nourishing work for both the giver and the receiver.

(If you're a coach, do you make them run laps too?)

I am reading Gilda's book- It's Always Something. If you haven't read it I will send it to you. I am about to order The Sociopath Next Door. I just remembered I wanted to read that after you posted about how fascinating it was. Happy 4th!!
