Illustration Friday - Flavor

This started with a (not very good!) digital photograph of four strong flavors from my pantry: Cavender's all purpose Greek seasoning, organic lemon oil, red wine vinegar and cumin. While I can't imagine using them together in anything I'd want to actually taste, I manipulated them until I perceived that they went together... visually.

As always, I am curious about the liked and dislikes evoked in you!

This is a neat effect--I like the colors. Thanks for the nice comment, and I'd love the love fat mocha coffee recipe.

I like the colors too. As I look at this bleary eyed, trying to wake up and get myself in gear to greet the first working day of the year, this illo reminds me of a brave little family banding together to greet the world.

humm

I spent a moment "picturing" the tastes of each flavor together.

I like the picture better.....lol

Lorigrace! What a wonderful observation. Thankyou. After I read that, I could see it too!

The colors you used here are really lovely, and I like how you've abstracted the containers. I think the only thing I would change a tad is the tall pink bottle to have a similar sharpness and color intensity as the other three, which really pop out from the muted, sandy looking background. Even so, I like it just the way it is too!

BTW, I really like the portrait of how you see yourself...and the best thing is that you really do have control over the whole thing...what you can't control on the outside you can control from the inside. But you know that:>>>> Happy New Year to you - much peace & happiness!

I like it, it has a lovely abstract quality.

I enjoyed this very much. The difference in the shapes and heights and the colors were very interesting.

Sorry, I've come back nice and bright and early and I still see a penguin... must be on my brain!

(Second jar in from the left) It has a pink bill, black head, greenish gleam around its eye, white body...

Still if no-one else sees it I think I'd better go away and hide...

Still love the bright jewel of a jar!

Love the colours, and I personally WOULD combine all those flavours into something quite delicious. Not sure what, but something.

Going back to look for the penguin...
