After a slow day at the office and shopping mall, I got myself to my Local Yarn Shop, where they have thoughtfully begun stocking 4 oz mini hanks of roving in space dyed (?) in various color ways. I got one each of pastels, pink and purple, and blue and yellow. These combined with the pumpkin, indigo, chartreuse and "natural" that I got in Fredericksburg should allow me to stab to my heart's content and come up with either some pastel sheep, hearts, or somethings to give as tokens of Friendship at this Loving Time of the Year.I am experimenting with what kind of filler to use... tonight it was gauzy cotton diaper strips... I might try cotton balls next... or bite the proverbial bullet and use the undyed roving... except I wanted to save that to make sheeps!

This shows off the larger lumps of dyed roving from Stonehill in Fredericksburg. I wish I'd taken a photograph of the "grinch" Christmas box I made from the green and orangey red!
Both of the so-called "angels" I've made look like Jewish yentas or something. I don't have the exact technique for faces. And the one with her back to the camera has a HALO, not a Jackie O pillbox hat.The whole felting thing is definitely a work in progress!
Suggestions welcome!
topmorrow it is supposed to snow. After folding laundry, I intend to CROCHET some boxes and felt them in the washing machine... and THEN needle felt some flowers (or something) on to them.
Check here to see the cute flock Susan Poe made... which I am going to try to clone... in my own odd way. And Here's a Santa she did.
Please take the questions below and answer them... I'd like to know you better!

Pretty, pretty wool and boy, those angels have some attitude! I love them. Jackie O pillbox hat - LOL!
These are adorable!
Cheers. Well what can I say. That drawing was'nt baked in a conventional oven. I'll check out Silverstein sometime. Like the wee furry people.
