I got to add to my stash today!!!DH was nice enough to agree to go to my auxiliary LYS's open house. It's quite a ways from home, so we stopped at Border's first so he'd have something to read while I was fingering the merchandise. While at Borders i finished some shopping for DS's girlfriend and assorted others. Then we went to The Shabby Sheep where I got Cherry Tree Hill sock yarn (yummy merino wool) in "Java" and Green Mountain Madness. (I am SO inspired by Knitting Sensational Socks.) I also got Whispers, a mohair acrylic blend made in Italy... to try a lacy shawl.
The prioprietress of TSS says that putting your mohair in the freezer makes it easier to unwind and workwith. That was a new one for me.
Oh, and thanks to Woolly Mutts who pointed me toward Holiday ongs and Lullabies.... from Shawn Colvin. I had to order it "used" (except it was new) from Amazon, as it is apparently nearly out of print. What a nice sweet bunch of songs.
