More Drugs!

Neulasta® (pegfilgrastim)
How it works:

Neulasta® is a recombinant (genetically engineered) protein that stimulates the production of infection-fighting white blood cells called neutrophils that are depleted by cytotoxic chemotherapy, a condition called neutropenia. Neulasta® is a longer-acting form of NEUPOGEN® (Filgrastim), Amgen’s original white blood cell stimulating product. Neulasta® requires only one injection per chemotherapy cycle, while NEUPOGEN® may require daily injections for up to 14 days following chemotherapy.
Rare cases of splenic rupture and allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, have been reported in postmarketing experience. Rarely, these allergic reactions recurred within days after discontinuing anti-allergic treatment.

So. That's what happened today. I hope that if I were going to have a "splenic rupture" or anaphylaxis I'd have had it right in the doctor's office. Drat, hubby is out of state. Guess I'll keep my cell phone on, ya think? Sometimes more information is too much.

But actually, reading this, and realizing that I'm "only a little tired" makes me feel much better. I had a 3 hour nap after dinner... have a good PBS TV show to watch and will then re-retire to dream land.
I didn't draw anything today. Maybe I still will. and I spent WAY too long re-untangling the seville "yarn" for the shawl I'm working on. That stuff is slippery! I'm ready to go back to wool! Even in Texas in the summer... or even the dread poncho from hell with the semi-slippery ribbon!
