No matter how much the skyscapers leaned, something always came between them.
I didn't want to "just" do buildings. I wanted to have something, um, different going on. And I remembered Carl Sandburg's Rootabaga Stories, one of which included two skyscrapers that fell in love.
And as an alternative,

The Metropolitan is where the fat lady sings...

Hi Dana, I love your skyscrapers and your fat lady. Terrific illos!
great humourin these
My cancer has nearly 100% recovery for someone in my situation, I don't even have to think about chemo, just radiation, which is comparitive to picking knitting with molten barb wire or cashmere, it just happens that it all goes on near my voice, and I grew up singing and performing, and now work in radio... so it's tougher that way. But it's hardly even a life threat, and I'm really okay most of the time (just had a rough week caused by a bunch of stuff on top of the hormonal changes my body is doing right now)...
But yes, I found you through KR, which has been SUCH an amazing source since it began (I've been a member nearly that long)
These are great! Are you still just using your limited color palette? I really like the opera singer...

Skyscrapers that fall in love! I'll never look at skyscrapers the same way again. Very neat. I like the expression on the one on the right.
