They wrote that they hoped to keep me cheered up as I approach surgery and getting results from CT scans and bone scans and radiology reports. I won't bore you with all that right now... you can look for news about "Thelma" if you want to know more. Anyway, this came from somebody I haven't even ever MET. They live at least 1000 miles away. I love making new friends!

Look at all the goodies that were in the box.
My benefactor was so clever she used balloons instead of bubble wrap or excelsior or newspaper!
There is a friendly green "monster." He's carrying his Teddy and a blanky... which is a darling reminder that I need to remember to hang on to what makes me feel safe.
Monsters can be friendly. I think his name might be Canasaurus... as in I CAN survive all this.
He brought yarn. Three skeins of Lion Brand Suede. I was just talking about Suede with a friend at lunch yesterday. It is SOOOOOOO soft. Can't wait to finish my sock(s) so I can start on that AND on the nifty yarn another "stranger" mailed me last week!
And yummy yummy lavender bath/beauty/body things. Lavender is so soothing.... and what I grow out side doesn't bloom enough to make tinctures from. I'm going to be loving this.
And I'll smell good too!
