Journal to a Muse

Pretty Puppy.
PuppyCat really doesn't like the flash, but when she lies on the window sill, in the summer, and it is 97 degrees outside, she gets completely back lit and silhouette-like if I don't use the flash. She's been amazingly sweet and close since we returned home.

After work today I was just pooped. Thelma has had a bit of pain. Deep inside where it doesn't make sense. I've tried to avoid painkillers... but maybe that's short sighted.

I did go to Central Market and get some yummy and healthy takeaway -- (Thanks be for a big paycheck that was waiting in the office maile... might even be able to pay this month's bills after having two weeks in Boston!!)

So, I bought watermelon-feta-olive salad, chicken parmesan, Dr. Brown's diet creme soda, two cheesy dips to spread on toast for breakfast, and grape-walnut-blue cheese salad... which was especially yummy when it was completely chilled.

Anyway, when I got home, I told DH I was sleepy and he fixed himself dinner and I had... get this, a three hour nap. I had no idea I was so tired. And puppy laid on a different window still (mostly in my yarn stash) and watched me sleep, or listened to me snore... she doesn't blab!

I finally woke up and had the grape salad and chicken.

I have at least 4 WIP's.

• Last summers mesh poncho that was supposed to be soooooooooooooo easy.
• Sock #2 in Crazy Cotton
• Acrylic Baby blanket in modified basket weave stitch
• Jazzy spice metallic shawl.

And soon, I should be thinking CHRISTMAS. Aeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. That will require 10 to 15 WIPs.

I am reading Robert Sullivan's book RATS. Weird and fascinating.
