Fabulous news!
My surgeon called this morning and said I am definitely no "more" than Stage I breast cancer! This is the best the news could be given that "Thelma's" lump had already been biopsied and read as positively malignant.

But, now we know that the wonderful Shannon Bongers, MD., was in fact able to remove the entire tumor with clean margins. They're a bit narrow here and there, and may need to be widened, but at this point, it's only pain... NOT WORRY. She also used a double whammy radioactive isotope (technesium) and blue dye (the color of those beautiful aqua seas in the Carribean) to determine that not only had nothing gotten PAST my sentinal lymph nodes, but no cancer had REACHED them either.

So. Eat, drink and be merry, because I'm gonna be OK. And remember,
EARLY DETECTION IS THE KEY.

And support scientific research everyway you can think of, OK?
