The new MBA
This is my Darling Daughter.
She has just received her MBA after two years of intense and challenting work. She is justifiably proud and so am I. The grin stayed on her face for at least 24 hours, through an evening of hot dancing, being the designated driver for classmates, having a hasty Mickey D breakfast the next day and through all of Star Wars Episode III.
The roses are from her father. DD confided that yellow roses were her favorite, but that now she likes the pink AND yellow ones. I don't know if he ever sent her roses before... but I am so glad he did this time.
Never ever give up. That's part of what I learned... and AM learning. 17 years of healing that was glacially slow. And just like any other "over night" sensation, suddenly, everything is well. All manner of thing are well. As they should be.

It is bitter sweet to watch my "baby" launch herself on another part of her life journey: Remembering my own hopes and dreams... some of which came true, and some of which changed beyond all recognition, and some of which just weren't to be. I am grateful that she has at least as much optimism as I did, and amazed and grateful that she has tenacity and competitiveness, too. I believe in her, and more, importantly, believe that she believes in herself.

And, she knits.
We got her a ball winder in honor of the graduation... (and a check from my husband). She seemed equally delighted. We also got her a swift, but she'd already gotten one at a fiber festival. If she ever DOES open a yarn shop, she'll be that much ahead.
