Everything was fine up til 4 pm, actually. Suffice it to say a young couple I am seeing are very crossways with each other and both told the other they were going to kill themselves. Hubby took his car and hasn't been seen for hours. I notified police of self-harm potential and Wifey is locked up for "observation" and their children are in protective custody. On good days, they all are aware of joy, love, tenacity and persistence. Today was not one of those days.
When you see this

you will know that they have grown up enough to be happy together.
My husband, though, was stellar. We went out to dinner and I bought some Prismacolor markers. (not very many, they are quite expensive!!) I'll post pictures tomorrow.
In the meantime, Here's something to help you smile.
This little angel turns 27 (!!!) in three weeks. Celebrations will be abundant.

I'm not sure how you stumbled across my blog but I'm so glad that you did because it led me back here to yours. I love finding a kindred spirit online! Clearly you're a fellow "wordnerd" as well as a fellow therapist. I can't say that I'm nearly as prolific or exuberant in my creativity but I certainly enjoy it when the Muse calls. Knitting, however, has eluded me so far. Sigh...
Sorry about the crossways couple. I work with kids mostly so I've managed to avoid doing marital counseling..WHEW! It's my least favorite form of therapy to do. Still, it's been a tough week at work for me, too. I hope that yours gets better.
Ah, good luck and thank you for doing what you do. A totally under-rated job if you ask me!
