Just a little frogging.
The Vine Leaf pattern had more promise than was being revealed by my initial attempt. So-- I frogged it! A pattern with a single K2tog or SSP and a single YO per repeat shouldn't be that hard to learn and keep track of, right? I had to think so intentionally about whether it's K2Tog's or SSP's that go to the right (or left) and whether the YO's should be before or after that I got a headache and recognized my sinusitis.
Reading that sentence could make you crazy, too.
Now I have drugs from the doctor and realize that there IS a logic written into the pattern, I can learn to understand and remember the logic... so I frogged it back to it's foundational border. Poor baby face cloth. but it will be lovely. And I'll be able to remember this project and use it in a ruana or cardigan soon. No doubt either of those projects will have their own surprises.
I am delighted to have discovered Twinkletoes handpainted yarns and their creator via eBay.
I also had a note back from The Woolen Rabbit>, who is a femme fatale of fiber and the proud parent of puppies, too. She might have research and background information for my novel. :-)

Hi there,
I just hope your sinusitis is long gone - nasty little bugger that can be! I bet whatever you knit with the now logic Vine Leaf pattern will be very nice.
Responding to your comment from March 31: no, I am not moving to Germany, just taking a break from the north american continent. And I don't know if you can find the to me offensive advertisement online but you sure can find it in the latest Vogue Knitting.
I like your little play with Sigmund - but lets not get started with "Freudian Slip" etc. etc.
By the way, I am very - and I mean: very! - flattered that my humble blog is listed right next to the Harlot's!! *with Elvis voice* "Thank you, thank you very much!"
