These are genuwine artist's markers by Prismacolor (thanks for the tip JaneyJournal). Since I am notoriously fickle when it comes to media, I bought the littlest box of primary colors plus "mulberry" and "true blue." So the palette's a bit limited.
I'm doing it. After 50 years of supressing my creative desires, I'm doing it. Thank you Tamara, Elaine, David, and Wendy for your steadfast encouragement.

I love the colors! It may be interesting to see what colors you will use with a limited palate. It's that whole paralysis of choice thing: If you had 890 hundred markers would you feel that you had to create something phenomenal, when awesome is enough for now? :)
Nice still lives (lifes?) I posted an interview for you on my blog. http://flyingwombat.typepad.com/wombatty
You can answer in your blog. Thanks. Lonely wombat
Good 4U! :) I came in via "Amy's" poetery site. Yes, prismacolour markers were a good suggestion.
I noticed your recent comment on pears there. I see a pear here! :)
I'm an artist and a writer. I paint with pastels, various other media, photograph, make jewelry, plus love to write.
Your site looks very interesting plus I adore the sound of the word "sultry".
I have found other great places to visit via Amy's links. I'll be back soon. I wamt to finish a painting of a sunrise.
I hope you'll stop my my place.

Thanks for stopping by my blog -- I'm loving visiting yours in return! For someone who hasn't painted in a while, these pics of pears and other fruit are spectacular! You make me want to drag out the old Prismacolor markers (which, by the way, will last a long time if you store them horizontally).
I love the bridge! Thank goodness you've "broken down". Creativity is the spark that keeps so many of us going...
