This is the beginning of the double sided potholder so blithely given on About.Knitting.com. This is tricky to do. Can't do it while I am having a conversation, and can barely do it while listening to radio/tv or music. I selected a semi satisfactory cotton [Bernat Cottontots](I didn't want to use synthetics around the stove-- and since I got this particular urge to learn in the middle of the night, I was shopping at Kmart.... which is NOT my favorite LYS!! It frays pretty easy, and might have been better on smaller needles. But given my learning curve, it's probably better to start loose. I am thinking that doing it out of linen or wool with Merrimeko style colors would be fun.
Amused?

Wow - both of these projects look complicated, but fun! Hope that the potholder is still going well. I think being frustrated by knitting is one the reasons that I don't do very adventerous projects. I like knitting to be *relaxing*!
