I am about 2/3 to the toe of the first Yeti sock for DH. I am enjoying the two circular needle method... although the fuzzy yarn is hard to see "through" as far as picking up the instep diagonal stitches. There's going to need to be a bit of preliminary "tucking" to avoid a large "air tunnel" at the corner.
Thanks SO MUCH to Elizabeth at Wombatty for the link to Cabin Fever hats at YarnBarn. Looks like I'll be doing hats and socks... Mittens are pretty... and pretty annoying to someone like me that loves small motor function.

My grandmother makes us chunky-knit slipper socks and I LOVE them. Your DH should love those socks, too--very warm and comfy.
