Here's a photo of the sweater I did for my son when I re-started knitting a couple of years ago. I really liked the K3P2 ribs next to the cables... and I actually made changes to the pattern (Vogue Knits --special men's issue, if I remember right)... I knit it in the round up to arm hole openings.
