Have you heard of "The Work" of Byron Katie?
She advises that when you are having a struggle with something, large or small, trivial or life-changing, that you ask these four questions:
1. Is it true?
2. Can you absolutely know that it's true?
3. How do you react when you believe that thought?
4. Who would you be without the throught?
Turn it around (i.e. say the opposite, or make it about you instead of someone else)
Whether you think "they" hate you, or you are dying
Whether you need to move to Montana, or change jobs
Whether your boss is a jerk or the wrong team won
It is amazing what happens if you consider The Work.
