Tragedy can strike any whereThis is the scene we came across mid-day Sunday. A father, speeding to pick up his children from his ex-wife, probably ran a red light, hit a curb, fire-hydrant, and mini-van with parents, their daughter and two foster children inside, and then went airborn over a pick up truck in a left turn lane. The entire family group was killed. The driver is in critical condition. The woman in the truck was unhurt.
Be careful out there. And grateful every day that's a safe one.

This is such a horrendous accident. In a split second the world is changed for all those involved and that loved them.
I wonder if our school Drivers Ed. Classes could be more effective. Rather than just teaching the mechanics and driving rules, if they also focused on how emotional state affects our ability to drive safely. (Road rage, impulsive reactions, etc.)
