Illustration Friday - Forgotten
It had been long enough since she was happy and healthy that she had forgotten who she was.

I read a book once....I think it was Anne Lamont (LOVE HER) where she talked about how we lose ourselves around age 50. Then she went on to remind us that each and everything we've ever been, mother, lover, dancer, singer, we still are. It's all still a part of us even if we've lost or forgotten those things. Thinking about that helped me not to miss what I was so much and to better embrace who I am. Happy and healthy are the two very best things we can wish for anyone and I truly wish them for all the beautiful women you are.

Great image for this week! I can't say I forget as much as I rediscover and change who I am. Great image and prompt for this week!

I love what Indigene has to say. I agree. And I'm reading a book now by Marianne Williamson which is really making my middle-aged spirits soar. It's called The Age of Miracles: Embracing The New Midlife."
If it's too much in religious undertones for you (as it can be for me) you can change the references to "Universe." It's really wonderful!

Don't forget who you are. You're still you in a different phase of life :)
