Progress? Progress.
Painting in stages is a harrowing process. I loved the begining I made (below) and am at best ambivalent about today's progress. As Bonny says, with oils, at least you can always paint over it. This clearly needs some painting over. Or over-painting.

You have grown so much as an artist. It seems like every month I can see a change in the way you approach things....and it's all to the good.
i must say that i LOVE the progress.....but i love the abstracty oil paintings...like the VanGogh :)

I love the top one. Maybe you wanted something else, but I think this is great. I'm wondering how it all turned out. I love the festive colors.
