I wonder if this is enough of a "plan" to do a very LARGE painting for a very LARGE space.
There is an artist I like who paints very abstractly-- but whose paintings always look like landscapes to me. I'd like to try something on that order.

I say the only way to find out is to just try it. You can always paint right over it if you don't like it (I've done that several times). I like what you've got there and can't wait to see the final product. You're painting a lot lately. Love it for you!
IMO? It's enough of a plan. Go go go do it!
