When Jack was first out in the world seeking his fortune, he hoped there would be easy answers. The fortune teller was beautiful and smiled, but did nothing but hold his hand and take his money.He remembered Horace's wisdom:

There is something ethearial... about this piece... it could be the soft colours of the figure against the pink window...
it has the effect of looking at her through wavy, vintage glass. I like it. Like the quote too!
