The oncologist visit went better than I expected, actually.
- The needlestick for bloodwork hurt more than I remembered, but I didn't drip blood on my t-shirt
- I cried once in the office and once in the truck with my husband, but then felt better.
- I get to stop one medication I've been taking and take a different one starting in two weeks.
- I get to start a new one immediately. (After a little research on line, I find not only should it decrease the @#$%'d hot flashes, but it is an "anti-anxiety" med. Cool, man.
- My MD says I'm not in anything like the circumstances of Elizabeth Edwards, despite the rosie information she's been giving to the press. He seemed to have inside information on her original diagnosis and treatment. Confidence in your oncologist is a VERY good thing.

I'm so glad the oncologist visit went ...well.
and hooray for a doc that finds a med that makes you feel better two ways!
