Water Color Pencils + waterproof pen + Photoshop
At the beginning of the week, I was in Office Depot to get a new printer cartridge. And of course, I HAD to browse. I found this nifty cannister (or tube) of watercolor pencils for less than $15. 24 colors! with room for a little sharpener inside, a brush, and end caps that hold water. WAY cool.
So I've been experimenting.
The pears are from my minds eye. The first one is the "as is" with pencils and water. The others were manipulated in photoshop. It is funny, but as a child, I thought people ONLY drew what they could remember from their mind. As an adult I have learned that it is pretty helpful to have the reference objects in front of you. But if nobody can see into you head, then whatever you draw that was in there... CAN'T be proven "wrong." HA. Victory at last!

And this was another "out of my head" (in a good way) sketch of a woman knitting. I call her Mrs. Matisse because of the chair, the window and the multitude of patterns. Comments welcome.
