Just about our favorite thing to do on weekends, long or otherwise, is go to bookstores.
I am very excited about my selections this week.
My daughter bought me Mackenzie's previous book and I loved the illustrations, tone of the text and the expertise he shared. Of course right in the first paragraph of this one, it says what you have to do most is practice, practice, practice, because every painting will teach you something. Like me, he says that some paintings taught him way more than he wanted to know all at once.

DD and I are doing a combined project and I've been wanting to design something original rather than slavishly follow somebody else's pattern. She's used some awesome pattern stitches, AND there are great illustrations for continental plus standard knitting to facilitate the multiple colors.
And last, but not least, a book that purports to teach how to:

- create a climate where positive change can occur
- maintain motivation
- turn setbacks into progress (LOVE that one!!)
- make the new behaviors permanent.
