I might have been able to convey somebody or something in a great rush if I trusted my drawing ability more. But this illustration certainly represents my attitude!
But posting was speedier this week. I didn't want to wait until there were 600 prior posts.
You can click on the image to enlarge it.
Please feel free to comment! I'm not 100% satisfied with the colors. What would you recommend? And composition?
The background locale is based on what I have recently discovered was my great grandmother's hometown in Schlesweig-Holstein -- Denmark at the time.

I think it looks great. I wouldn't change a thing. But what do I know?
love
I couldn't agree more. If you didn't catch Grayson's Perry's article in the Times "Slowing down the artistic process" it's a good
read.

I came across it on Neal's blog http://porkpop.blogspot.com/ and especially enjoyed the last paragraph.
Sometimes I feel like a snail making an epic journey along a garden path.
That is such a great quote. :-)
It's perfect, especially the message. I wouldn't change a thing-you got the message across so creatively.
Love the shades of pink!

Don't know 'bout the color thing... maybe a blueish-green snail?... I think you're scheme is better. Great take on the theme.
And you're serious about the Schlesweig-Holstein reference? That's where my great-grandparents on my grandmother's side were from (Sommer was the surname). Was just talking about it with some German visitors last night.
Great quote in your illo !
I think the colors in the cute snail spotlights it. I like the cold background scene of your grandmothers hometown. Like the quote to,your illo is very appealing.
That's the right attitude. Nice job incorporating a personal touch here.
When I saw this I thought it looked like Holland! I LOoove the colours and background! Of course all the little buildings are darling and the snail has the cutest face, it looks like a she-snail. She has cute lips and looks like she is wearing lipstick and she looks happy at her own pace!!!
Great! And I totally agree.
I love how you mixed things up - the words, the picture, the drawing... nice work!
Very nice. I like the snail. She's got attitude and no way is she planning to hurry anywhere!!!
Now, you and I obviously think along the same lines....:-)

I agree with everyone else. Nice all around...as is!
i like it too, esp. the snail. can also be a postcard.
'been to Flensburg and around 4 years ago nice place!
I certainly agree with that quote (I used it this week as well), and I just love your snail with his eyes looking all around.
Perfect sentiments. It rushes by all too quickly. Lovely. x
I like this one, and I like it's philosophy.
Us snails may not get to see much of the world, but we're always at home, where ever we are and we have time to smell the roses....when we're not eating them, of course....
:0)
I didn't know Ghandi said that! The colours seem to work. Great take on the theme. I totally approve.
Love the quote and the illo. Great colors!
A slug is more gray or tan, but then it would fade into the background. I like the way you chose to paint it; more colorful and cheerful. It looks like a beautiful town to be from. :0)
