Well, I'm knitting again.

Sirdar Snuggly children's book 282 of baby and toddler patterns has the cutest sweaters and hats. And it is amazing how fast the knitting seems on size 6's, when you've been doing socks on "0"s-- even though there's an awful lot of moss and double-moss stitch!

(S00 many opportunities for yarn - overs. )

My LYS called me when Sirdar Book 241 came in... It mostly has baby outfits (sweaters, hats, pants, a darling dress, and blankets... in sets with matching cables and patterns. AND since the sweaters are tiny, they don't take much yarn, which makes them inexpensive. I found some other DK gauge yarns I liked which cost more... must check to see if they're washable. THEY could be heirlooms even more than these.

Look at the heirloom my friend is making....
A helpful expert from the DHKG taught her the values of life lines! So she's off and knitting!

This is the big brother of the future recipient. Is he adorable or what?
