Synchronicity
Here's the chapter talking about recovering a sense of power... and that's exactly what I've been addressing in my attempts to beef up my business. In my capacity as business woman, I sabotage myself, give up my power and, um, just generally give up. OFTEN. And I've been writing affirmations, listening to the internally voiced jeers, and crafting strong refutations. AND IT IS WORKING.

Did any other bloggers list who they admire? admire secretly? Want to meet, even though they are dead? Want to spend time with, even though they are dead?

I admire:

• Sark - Writer who uses her own story to help others
• Senators Lieberman and McCain - straight shooters
• Jon Stewart- straight shooter who is intentionally funny
• Terry Gross - curious about everything
• Bill Gates - Risked it all because he believed in himself and his vision

And I also admire:

• DD - seems fearless in many respects
• Princess Di - overcame limitations of "fairy tale life" to accomplish good works
• Candace Bergan & Jane Fonda - overcame family issues, understand selves, maintain appearances
• Any self-supporting fine artist
• TSH - Undaunted, pragmatic, tenacious, caring. Always.

If they weren't dead, I'd like to meet:

• Julia Child - cook, spy, native of my home town
• Sun Tsu- theorist on the Art of War
• Rainer Marie Rilke - poet and supporter of artists
• Alexander the Great - Visionary and conquerer
• Grandpa Elbert Keates Smith

• Virginia Satir - founding mother of family therapy
• Jessie Willcox Smith - illustrator and working woman
• Freida Hazenbush (Danish great grandmother) - raised 3 sons alone after immigrating
• Anais Nin - diarist and porn writer by the page
• Steve Allen - polymath, humorist, musician, thinker, skeptic

So I guess I should develop
