RIP: Brian White -- son of one of my favorite work colleagues. Apparently he lost hope, combined alcohol and drugs. Was found alive days later had lost too much liver and cardiac function to pull through. He died yesterday, May 6, 2007
Lost and Found by Jacqueline Sheehan
I stayed up WAY past my bedtime to finish this book last night. I loved the characters (including the dog) so much I wrote a review for Amazon! It's set in Maine with side trips to Western Mass and Providence. It has mothers, daughters, love, hate, grief and celebration. What more could you ask for?
I can see clearly now!
Finally stopped coughing long enough to go to the opthamologist and pick up my new contact lenses. The technician was still keen to tell me just HOW complicated it is to fit MY eyes, which was annoying, somehow. But I tell you, trading in scratched, foggy, protein deposited lenses for clarity has made me a happier camper.

It's a hard road when you think you have chosen an easy one...drugs that is. It's often too late when you realise that it is far tougher a path you have chosen than the life issues that drove you that way ever could be.
